Live life as it is meant to be...

live life as it is meant to be...

man is desolate. he wreaks havoc on himself, on his brothers. in his puffed up pride, cowardice, and uncreative view of life, he pursues that which is of the world. his every movement, every breath, it is within the confounds of societal lusts.

live life as it is meant to be...

man's eyes are opened. his heart is soften by the movement of Spirit. realization of his humanity collides with the weight of his sin. he cries to I AM, the one who was, is, is to come. the one who is above all, beyond all, through all. the one who's power will never be surpassed. the one who is grossly majestic.

live life as it is meant to be...

and man's call reaches His ears. God hears - oh how he hears. then He moves; earth trembles. mountains shake. seas roar. He is mighty to save. He moves swiftly. He tugs on the heart of mere man. God's response to man changes everything.

live life as it is meant to be...

he has tasted of the call of the Lord. man's heart is suddenly unsatisfied with the call of the world - unsatisfied with societal demands - his eyes have been opened. his heart enlightened. his soul impassioned. and he knows. he knows mediocrity cannot be the definition of his life. he will no longer stand to live merely for what the world deems as good - money, things, self gain, pursuit of pleasures surpassing pursuit of God- no. he, by the strength and mighty power of The Majestic, takes a stand.

live life as it is meant to be...

then he does it. he lives.
boldness. courage. trust. faith. love. selflessness. all collide.
this mere man is now FREE. did you hear that? he. is. FREE. and God's will is finally being done. a life laid down and freedom found. everything done, everything said, everything thought for the glory of His Majesty. this is how man may live his life as it is meant to be.

we serve a great God

"But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: 'Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine...For I am the Lord you God, the Holy One of Israel, you Savior'." -Isaiah 43:1,3

its amazing. truth. the word of God. how glorious.

so often i forget. so often the weight of the glorious truth of God becomes lackluster and everyday.

but praise God for renewal of spirit. for new eyes. new heart.

He created me. He formed me. He knows me. to my deepest depths because he made me. he called me by my name. I AM HIS!!! i pray that the joy from this truth never gets old.

fear not. trust. have faith. this he speaks with his every word. He is God, we are his, we have no reason to fear.

now this is God's claim: For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.

i know this is something we have been told and have thus repeated over and over...that the Lord is our Savior...but let that truth press into your heart, let it shake your bones, let it move your soul. our creator God is our SAVIOR. a magnificent, majestic, holy, powerful God saves us. he saves us. what kind of God would do that? what kind of God would save me? save his people?

we serve a great god.

Glory

The words of Jesus to our God the Father:

"I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do." - John 17:4
"Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world." - John 17:24

Jesus' fulfilled his purpose on earth... to GLORIFY God as his purpose, in his purpose, and in the accomplishment of his purpose. then Jesus prays to God that we may see his glory, see him glorified!

is my heart like Jesus' heart? is my all consuming, daily desire to ultimately glorify God? honestly and sadly I have to say no. to glorify God is not always my hearts desire. desire to glorify myself gets in the way. how could my heart so easily stray and lose this desire of glorifying God?

BUT!!!!

the amazing part comes in when Jesus begins to pray. he prays for our ability to see the glory. he knew. he knew all along my heart would easily stray. he knew i would be blind. he prayed this for me when he was here on earth. 2000 years ago he knew.

Christ in/with/above...

Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me,
Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ on my right, Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down,
Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of every man who speaks of me,
Christ in the eye that sees me,
Christ in the ear that hears me.

- saint patrick

I pray that the Lord would give me a heart that yearns for Christ in everything.

emphasis on faithful

today remember that God is not a God of confusion, doubt, worry, unrest, or disappointment. He is faithful and His love is steadfast. i must cling to this.

He is everything good. my God is so good! wow i serve a good, glorious, majestic, beautiful, sovereign, loving, creative, FAITHFUL God.

emphasis on faithful. he is. even when i'm not. isn't that amazing? that the God who created the heavens, earth, sound, color, life is faithful to me, to you? definition of faithful: loyal, constant, steadfast. this means that he is loyal to us, always constant in loving, providing, and leading us, and he is resolutely firm and unwavering towards us. wow mind blowing that our God possesses that in His character.
